On top of that I run a manufacturing business that distributes a product North America wide. I apply everything in social media to my manufacturing business too. Sales have been consistent for over 20 years and in the last year they have doubled, all because of social media…NO but social media has certainly played a big part in connecting me with the right people.

The reason I started doing workshops is because I read if you want to learn something teach it and now I also teach at SEEDS University as their Social Media Facilitator.
I have a deep burning desire to learn social media so I can apply it to my 2 businesses ByzHub.com and Canmec.

So I have a Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook account, now what? well…it’s more than just setting it up, picking a trendy name and waiting for it to populate itself. Taking Owen’s Social Media seminar was fun and I learned practical every day tools that I can stick with and measure results. It’s turning into an addiction. I actually use the camera in my iphone and am in the position to help other businesses & venues get recognition and attention. The social media world can be very overwhelming, trying to find a way to add value to my facebook, twitter, byzhub etc and manage all the accounts on a daily basis seemed near impossible. Owen’s course was so useful in demonstrating ways to spend ten minutes a day and effectively maintain my accounts and add substance to my posts. A great course for all people of all levels, looking to expand their social media skills.
